Fun with the Kiddies

Abstract: Not only is West Virginia State a large commuter school, along with many other Universities in the tri-state...but they are also made up of plenty of parents. It seems like year after year the things to do seem to be decreasing, so what I would like to do is distinguish the different activities for the different age groups.

Length: 2000-3000 words

Audience: People in the Tri-State area who are looking for things to do with their children

Time to complete: 4 weeks from date of start

I know that my daughter is getting older, and pretty soon we are going to be out here on the hunt for what we can do, (or at least I will be on the hunt)...so I thought this would be nice to give parents somewhat of an ideal itinerary! =) Just a thought....

  1. I like the general idea, but I wonder if it wouldn't be better to limit your focus to the general Charleston area. After all, many parents aren't able to travel far--especially parents attending college with elementary or middle school-age children.

  2. Another thing to think about is age range of the child. My 10 year old may not be interested in something your 2 year old loves, and vice versa. Perhaps you could do something that picks one place for each age range.

Or how about a travel piece? You say "itinerary" so maybe you could research a place for kids for the weekend. You'd have to consider prices, location, distance to travel, accommodations for overnight stays, and a whole host of other things.

  3. Very true!
@Adam--> I planned on sectioning off ages and activities based on what I found...not just throwing like one idea out and expecting everyone to be interested...sorry...I should have been more clear about that.

@Esther--> A travel piece would be nice
